Software Engineer 2 - Fullstack (UI Heavy)

Come join the QuickBooks Time team as a Software Engineer. QuickBooks Time is part of the Human Capital Management segment with millions of users. This role will be located in Bengaluru as part of a new QuickBooks Time team working on making time tracking effortless for employees and business owners alike. On the surface, we build time tracking software that our customers’ employees love. Beneath the surface we are a development team building software that millions of employees interact with embracing the latest web technologies, location-based services, and re-inventing how employees track time through the use of AI. We build exceptional products that create a unique user experience every day. Responsibilities: Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications and solutions. Design, code and build solutions used by hundreds of thousands of users every day Design, test and enhance existing and new features leveraging multiple technologies Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches Contribute to the design and architecture of the project Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results Leverage your technical leadership to mentor junior engineers, and apply your wisdom towards solving our most difficult architecture and implementation challenges Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies. Roughly 80-100% hands-on coding Qualifications: 2+ years experience designing and delivering SaaS applications BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience. Strong experience with any of the following Object Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE, C#, VB.NET, Python, or sometimes C++. 2+ years’ experience with React and JavaScript in a single page architecture, with hands-on knowledge on web technologies (Redux, React-Native) and related frameworks a plus. Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process. Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD). Passion for coaching engineering excellence to junior engineersJob tags
