Founding Engineer (Fullstack backend focused)
The Opportunity IntinctIQ is breaking new ground in seamlessly incorporating Generative AI from the ground up across all capabilities in an analytics based domain specific enterprise SaaS product. The founders have more than two decades of domain expertise and experience scaling SaaS startups. With sufficient pre-seed capital for 2+ years of operation and additional investors committed to the MVP launch, this is an excellent chance for an ambitious Senior/Principal fullstack or Frontend Engineer. Responsibilities for backend focused engineers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and UX designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions that power our analytics-heavy product, encompassing frontend, backend, and database components. - Implement intuitive and responsive user interfaces using the latest frontend technologies, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms. - Build and integrate AI and machine learning components into the product to deliver intelligent insights and predictive capabilities. - Create powerful and interactive reporting dashboards that enable our users to visualize complex data and make informed decisions. - Perform ETL and data processing tasks in Python, extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources to support analytics and reporting features. - Utilize microservices architecture to develop modular and scalable backend services, ensuring high performance and flexibility. - Integrate GraphQL APIs to enhance data retrieval and manipulation, offering efficient and flexible data interactions for our users. - Optimize application performance to handle large datasets and deliver real-time analytics efficiently. - Work on data modeling, integration, and storage solutions to ensure smooth data flow and seamless integration with third-party systems. - Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure the reliability and stability of the software. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and cutting-edge technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging tools and frameworks to enhance product capabilities. - Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, providing timely resolutions and implementing preventative measures. - Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration of software updates. Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a tier-1 institution. - Proven track record of 5+ years in full-stack software development, with hands-on experience in designing and delivering analytics-heavy products and reporting dashboards. - working knowledge in modern frontend technologies, such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. - Strong expertise in backend technologies, such as Node.js, Python, or Java, and proficiency in database technologies like SQL and NoSQL databases. - Experience in ETL and data processing in Python to handle large datasets and support analytics. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and hands-on experience in developing modular backend services. - Proficiency in GraphQL to enhance data retrieval and manipulation. - Experience integrating AI and machine learning technologies into software applications is highly desirable. - Some Familiarity with data visualization libraries, such as D3.js or Plotly, to create interactive reporting dashboards. - Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and agile environment.
