We are seeking an experienced, goal-oriented Technical Program Manager II to lead the delivery of new features and capabilities.You will work on problems of small to medium scale, pioneering techniques to connect travellers with their dream trips. Finally (but just as important), this is a team filled with people who love technology and thrive in challenging situations. We require a high level of initiative and understanding that close-knit teams do a much better job of bringing products to life.
What You'll Do - Participate in the software development lifecycle and how various agile engineering practices can be used (e.g., in planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, acceptance testing)
- Lead proactive risk management, working with the team to anticipate new risks and mitigation planning
- Lead technical projects and features end to end with supervised work on ambiguous adaptive programs
- Coordinate bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues and contribute your own suggestions
- Assist with a whole systems approach to analysing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for
- Coordinate with team members to execute innovative ideas or approaches and achieve process improvement goals
- Consider and understand the audience's specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language
Who You Are - Bachelors in Analytics Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
- 2+ years' experience running technology-related programs using agile development techniques
- Experience as a Technical Program Manager and in a technical domain
- Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience leading Agile delivery teams with dependencies outside of the team's ownership
- Ability to bring together and turn business requirements into user stories, epics, and technical requirements and drive discussions among multiple business and technical teams to scope and schedule effort
- Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of software development process on a technical platform
- Experience building project plans, requirements specifications and performing data analysis
