We are looking for an authentic and inspiring leader to join us as the Head of People & Culture India. In this role, you will collaborate closely with all our businesses and functions to develop and drive a globally aligned yet locally authentic People Strategy. In this executive leadership position, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the People & Culture function, including Rewards, Labor & Employee Relations, Talent strategy and Acquisition, People Operations, International Mobility, and Learning. The ideal candidate is an inclusive team player with great communication and networking skills, extensive leadership experience, and a good understanding of people dynamics. You should have a good persona, be known as a leader who develops people and business and have good conflict management and negotiation skills. Knowledge and understanding of the country's labor laws and regulations, industry best practices and trends in labor and flexible workforce management are also required.

As the Head of People & Culture India, you will translate this business strategy and objectives into people plans, initiatives and activities that deliver business outcomes.
Your Main Activities And Responsibilities Include - Develop and drive a people strategy for Volvo Group India, which is globally aligned yet locally authentic.
- Translate business strategy and objectives into people plans, initiatives and activities.
- Drive a transformational and people centric agenda.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to the Leadership and management.
- Promote and grow a positive employee experience.
- Drive the end-to-end People & Culture deliveries to facilitate change, organizational development, and continuous improvements in the country.
- Lead the People & Culture Country Committee in the creation and development of People & Culture strategies, policy decisions, processes and in developing and implementing robust common country initiatives and projects.
- Engage in external networking and benchmarking with other companies and interact in the external ecosystem of HR professional organizations, consultants, HR vendors and other organizations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, and government regulations.

You have extensive leadership experience and can demonstrate successful international business experience in a matrix-driven, multi-national organization with multiple business units and a global network. You are highly adaptive and ready to take on additional responsibilities that are assigned to you when needed. To ensure holistic impact, high level of connection, support and advisory, this position will have dual reporting lines, to the Head of People Services, and to the President of Volvo Group in India.
