Key Responsibilities :

• Derivative - Max Life writes and hedges significant amount of interest sensitive product and hence requires resource that can implement/execute the following:

1. Calculation of Notionals for Hedging
2. Preparing required audit trail and documentation surrounding the notional calculations
3. Preparing internal derivative dashboard
4. Support in mechanism to monitor unwind risk
5. Requirement to modify and enhance system to calculate notionals

• ALM - As part of ALM policy, it is required to monitor and control various financial and demographic risk which is reported internally and to the regulator and hence requires resource that can implement/execute the following:

1. Monitor Cash flow position and identify opportunities that optimizes risk and return.
2. Set up and implement required risk monitoring tools
3. Manage and conclude on various task and issues that may arise in various ALM forum
4. Calculate Economic Capital and suggest mitigation methods to reduce various risk capital required.
5. Timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports

Measure of Success:

1. Meeting the TAT defined
2. Accuracy of numbers
3. Insights provided
4. Customer value enhancement
5. In-depth knowledge of FRA mechanism including accounting implications

Skills:

1. Preferred knowledge of DCS and Prophet software
2. Good knowledge of Life Insurance Business
3. Strong analytical, Communication and Documentation skills.

Primary Interactions:-

1) External - Finance, Investment Team, Risk Team, IT

2) Internal - Pricing, business planning, valuation, EV and experience teams

Essential qualifications and experience :

Qualification - must have

More than 5 actuarial exams cleared from IAI or IFoA

Experience

3-5 years of actuarial experience

Knowledge and skills required :

1. Technical actuarial knowledge
2. Excel, word, DCS and prophet knowledge
3. The candidate should actively participate in the assigned work
4. The candidate should be able to add value to the project and help arrive at useful and meaningful results
