Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration in the MBA field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of effectively leading and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, industry professionals, and alumni.
  • In-depth knowledge of current trends, best practices, and emerging issues in business education and the MBA field.
Budget And Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Identify and secure external funding through grants, research projects, or partnerships to support department initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other department heads and administrative staff to optimize resource sharing and promote cross-departmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the MBA department, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the institution.
  • Develop and implement academic policies, curriculum plans, and program enhancements to maintain a high standard of education and meet the evolving needs of students and the industry.
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, research, and innovation within the department.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluation to ensure a qualified and motivated teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to design and deliver engaging and relevant MBA courses.
  • Program Management and Development:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the MBA program, making recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in business practices, ensuring that the MBA program remains relevant and prepares students for current and future business challenges.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with industry leaders, organizations, and alumni to enhance opportunities for internships, networking, and career placement.
  • Lead accreditation processes and ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and requirements.
  • Student Support and Engagement:
  • Promote a student-cantered environment by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning community.
  • Oversee student recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies to attract and retain high-quality students.
  • Address student concerns, provide guidance, and ensure an effective system for academic advising and career counselling.
  • Foster opportunities for student engagement, such as student clubs, competitions, and industry conferences.
