Role: OSS Technical Lead
Experience level: 8-10 years
Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai
WFO/Hybrid

JD :

• The Main objective of this role is to involve in Design, Development and Enhancement of Smarts ,Netcool, Ciena UAA applications ensuring that all project deliveries are met and the finished product meets or exceeds the customer's expectation
• Ensure that all new systems & applications are Designed, Integrated and tested to the highest standards ensuring that all specified requirements are met.
• To provide effort estimate of projects and enhancements work from given high level design/specifications.
• Upgrading Fault monitoring platform and liaising with vendor for Integration of new features
• Ensure creation and maintenance of relevant documentation such as release notes, code version control, deployment guides to enable the integration to be supported smoothly.
• Debug reported issues and providing resolutions to internal and external customers/users
• Identify and Develop potential improvements and Enhancements in applications.
Liaise with cross functional teams integrated with Fault Monitoring and other Network management tools

Key Accountables:

• Key programmes and projects are delivered in line with OSS roadmap requirements (time / quality / cost)
• Ensure Code Quality checks are done for all Projects and enhancement deliveries
• Ensure that all costs provided for Impact analyses are as accurate as possible, stand up to scrutiny, are not over-inflated and where information is not available, sensible assumptions are made and communicated/agreed
• Ensure the requirements are discussed, agreed and documented and then the solution offered is clarified and signed off by stakeholders
• Ensure that ID delivery methodologies are optimized to best meet the needs of the business

Skills & Experience:
• Good OSS/BSS Application knowledge
• Good understanding on Telecom Network
• Good knowledge programming languages
 Java/Rest/SOAP/ React etc
• Excellent Scripting Knowledge in –
 Linux and Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL. Perl and Python
• Excellent knowledge of in application development methodologies
 Agile
 Waterfall
 Dev Ops
• Excellent knowledge in developing any of the fault monitoring applications listed below
 SMARTS
 Xymon
 Ciena Blue Planet UAA
 Netcool
• Knowledge in microservices, containers and Kubernetes is a plus
Maintain and Document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives, and recommend solution that best fits stakeholders' needs
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related field
8-10 years of relevant experience in Application development with understating Fault Monitoring products.
