About the role We are looking for a Senior Analyst for the Analytics & BI team. We need someone who is very good at understanding business, and using data and quantitative methods to solve business problems. Looking for candidates who are excited to cut through tons of data to generate insights. They should have a strong business acumen and could supercharge their insights with the right business context. They are not afraid of ambiguity and can quickly cut through the fog to get to the right question. They can iterate quickly and explore various approaches that can answer the question. We are a fast-paced team, and expect quick turnarounds. Most of the problems we work on are ambiguous, and handling ambiguous problem statements and expectations is a key part of the role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identifying and understanding problems across the business that can be solved using data and analytics Formulating and translating business problems in a way that can be solved using data - Explore data, build hypotheses, build models and solve problems Communicating results of models and analyses in a way that can be easily understood by senior management Working with operational and other teams to translate data insights into business outcomes Everyone in the analytics and BI team is hands-on and writes code and cleans data, and the same is expected of the person in this role. Key requirements: A passion for data and analytics and a bias towards action Common sense, and an appreciation of common logical fallacies Strong mathematics and logic skills Strong written, oral and visual communication skills Very strong in either Python or R, and MS ExcelJob tags
