Job Description :We seek an ownership driven, hands-on, technical engineering manager to join our growing team at Orbiz. As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for overall planning, execution, delivery & quality of our projects. You will hire, induct, coach stellar engineers to grow them, partner with product managers to influence the roadmap, ensure that high technical standards are met by implementing best practices, and help promote a culture of collaboration, trust & engineering excellence.Responsibilities :- Own overall planning, execution, team delivery, timelines, quality of our clients' products and roadmap by working closely with all stakeholders- Team Leadership for 1-3 scrum teams : Hire, manage, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, provide guidance, and support to ensure their growth and development. Strategy and- Planning : Develop and execute a long-term vision for the products, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals- Technical Expertise : Serve as a technical expert and resource for the team, helping to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as they arise- Infrastructure Development : Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the Project, reporting & observability capabilities and ensuring it meets the needs of the development teams and supports continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices- Platform Mindset : Showcase strong empathy for the end user and evangelise for improving customer experience- Quality Assurance : Work closely with software engineering teams to ensure high-quality & performant software delivery, through robust testing practices and processes- Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve processes, tools, and practices within the team to increase efficiency and effectiveness- Stakeholder Communication : Communicate regularly with stakeholders, provide updates on progress, identify challenges and solutions- Innovation : Encourage and foster a culture of innovation within the team, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices X-factors- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on PDLC- 2+ years of experience in an engineering manager role- Extensive experience with .net framework, web and related technologies- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools- Excellent people, problem-solving and analytical skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environmentLocation :- We are a remote first company- While our Engineers work from their homes across many cities.
