Position Title:              Sr. HSE Engineer
Reporting Lines:              Direct into Building Automation HSE India leader & matrix reporting District Project management leader
Location:                    Gurgaon, India
Travel:                        40% – 60% travel
The Health, Safety and Environment District HSE leader will be the key point of contact within the BA India North region business & reporting to BA HSE India leader, you will assist Business Leadership in delivering the BA HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for North Region which many includes Install & Service LOB business support. Along with other LOBs like EP, Fire & Security BMS in a region. Ensuring compliance and improving the safety culture within the portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the overall HSEMS for North district & other Field tech. support in Product business.
As the Health, Safety and Environment District HSE leader your key responsibilities will be to:
Ensure Compliance to Honeywell corporate HSE requirements and legislation for Field scope & OLRS in a region.
Establish relationships and processes with business managers to influence employees to meet HSE goals and objectives.
Lead & support in the development & deployment of the 3-5 strategic plan (STRAP) & annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance across the region. Including use of tools such as the X-Matrix, A3 plans & lean principles.
Conduct regular project/service contract reviews to increase HSE performance to the scope of works.
Audit Honeywell managed facilities to ensure the Company is compliant to Honeywell processes and statutory and corporate legislation.
Deploy a robust governance & auditing program for HSE across the region.
Present HSE related trainings, behaviour observations, improving culture & Internal Auditor training
Work with the HSE leadership team to identify actions required to maintain or gain HSE Certifications to ISO 45001.
Complete injury / incident investigations as required
Assist in resolving potential non-compliance, enforcement actions or litigation regarding HSE matters.
Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture & awareness.
Maintains a close work relation with the Project Managers/Operational managers/Service leaders and Honeywell in regard with the Contract HSEMS management.
Continuously improve the Management Operating System (MOS) to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the HSE programs
Coach & Mentoring to Site Safety officers/Engineers in delivering the leading HSE performance for a site.
Key Deliverables:
Achieve or exceed the annual operating plan (AOP) – Incident reduction & elimination
Sustain & Improve the HSE Maturity, observations, corrective action metrics & any other general KPI’s
Ensure compliance to all HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors and sub-contractors.
Ensure an HSE continuous improvement culture is truly embedded within a region.
Basic Qualifications:
University Degree (Science or Engineering)
HSE qualification: Diploma in Industrial safety from recognized Institute.
Internal/Lead Auditor Auditor certification for ISO 45001:2018 (would be an advantage)
Minimum 10 years’ experience for safety related activities. Understanding and knowledge of the local HSE legislation relevant to the Honeywell businesses at a site or country
Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to quickly build client – customer relationships in a challenging and changing environment.
HSE Experience working with Manufacturing industry /Projects management /Construction industry desired.
Airport /Aviation safety experienced would be an advantage.Additional Information
