Product Owner
As a Product Owner, you will collaborate on initiatives/roadmap items from the product
Manager, break them down into actionable chunks of value, and work with the engineering and
business teams to implement them in line with the organization’s vision and goals.

As product owners, we add value by prioritizing the right work, at the right times, and making sure
everyone on the team is aligned on the reasoning behind that work—to help ensure the continuous
delivery of value to our clients and customers.
To be useful in translating their company’s strategic plan into the right execution steps, product
owners must understand their customer needs, current capabilities and determine tangible steps
to develop the product to meet the needs. This often involves working with product managers to
learn about what problems they are aiming to solve with the product, what customer needs or
desires have informed their product strategy, and what the team will view as product success.
The Product Owners role supports the Product Manager in delivering the product roadmap in line
with the organization’s vision and goals. Often the Product Owner is considered the vital bridge
between the organization’s product vision and execution strategy.
Product Owners are the change-agents, strategists, facilitators, the bridge between the Product
Manager, Business Analyst, and the Agile team. They provide the required breakdown of the
product vision and strategy into tangible user stories and dependencies, while working with
governance to provide the required financial outlay. They work closely with and mentor the
Business Analysts to create the detail level artefacts such the epics, user stories and customer
journeys.

Once here you will be
1. Responsible for partnering with Product Managers (in the US, UK and India) to identify, refine,
scope, prioritize roadmap items based on a balanced view of product vision and client needs.
2. Accountable for defining user stories with clear acceptance criteria and identifying dependencies
between business units and various work streams.
3. Supporting Agile rituals like Feature elaboration/Estimation, release planning, Iteration
planning, Showcase, etc. in partnership with Scrum Master and PMO Managers
4. Supporting the development and communication of the product strategy and prioritization
(Innovation), while ensuring that internal and external stakeholders are prepared to support the
product.
5. Responsible for the product roadmap and backlog with high-level features with timeline while
prioritizing epics, stories, and features based on criticality and ROI involved.
6. Supporting Product Increments planning and identifying/ defining the MVPs (Minimum Viable
Product) wherever applicable.
7. Accountable for conducting workshops, creating required customer and system journeys in line with
product vision.
8. Providing guidance to business analysts on detailed user stories and non-functional requirements
(NFRs), validating them and clearing the functional impediments if any.
9. Responsible for scheduling the required huddles with Business Analyst, Architects and Agile team to
review features for plan/estimates and producing the required artefacts.
10. Facilitating marketing and sales enablement by planning product release and execution
11. Accountable for working with the BA to develop detailed requirements for T-shirt sizing.
12. Collaborating with functions (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, etc.) on enablers, technical debts,
research work items and non-Functional Requirements of products for strategy, prioritization and
communicates it back to PMs.
13. Responsible for Sprint goal definition, reprioritization of sprints and epics if needed.
14. Responsible for report on key metrics regarding product development roadmap and support key
metrics regarding product market performance
15. Accountable for ensuring that Product artifacts, knowledge repository, KPIs (key performance
indicators), metrics are well organized, up-to-date,and easily accessible by all.
16. Helping in building a culture of excellence in Product (and value) based thinking

Minimum qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Marketing as well as >5 years of
Product Owner / Technical Product Management experience in a software environment. An
advanced technical or business-related degree (MBA) is desirable
• A strong understanding of cloud-based services and/or App development is desirable
• A strong understanding of integrating hardware and platform software services is desirable
• Must have a passion for product ownership and bringing new products to market
• Influencing skills and ability to persuade both internally and externally (effective
presentations at all levels, negotiation)
• Partnering and collaboration skills: working closely with Sales, Development, Operations and
Marketing, both locally and internationally to enable successful delivery of the strategy
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have
a proven track record of thriving in a team environment
• Ability to interact with customers at differing levels including C-Suite and industry thought
leaders
• Innovative/creative thinker and ability to work across cultures – experience of multi-cultural
and multi-national project teams
• Strong computer proficiency with MS office, JIRA, and Confluence
Nice to haves
Preferred qualifications:
• Exposure to writing and validating user stories in the BDD (Behavioural Driven design) format
• Having some background or certification on Product ownership like CSPO
• Relevant experience in a product organization
• Relevant experience in customer loyalty space
• Relevant experience in data-backed decision making/statistics/market researc
