Job description
Source and procure IT hardware and services based on the specific requirements and policies of the organization.
Identify and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best available rates, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money.
Stay informed about market trends and technological advancements to make informed procurement decisions.
Request Processing:
Efficiently process IT hardware and service requirement requests from users and various departments in a timely manner.
Collaborate with end-users and departments to understand their specific needs and provide appropriate hardware and service solutions.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for all IT hardware and service procurement activities.
Ensure that purchase orders, contracts, and related documents are properly filed and easily accessible for auditing purposes.
Coordinate with accounts for proper documentation and vendor payment.
Procedural Adherence:
Follow established procurement procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance and streamline procurement processes when necessary.
Provide asset tags to purchased assets and maintain records of asset transfers.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT procurement, with a focus on hardware and services.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge of IT hardware specifications and industry trends. Experience with IT procurement in a corporate or organizational setting
