Job description
The nursing staff plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate and competent nursing care in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff members.
- Vital Signs and Monitoring: Monitor and record patients vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment. Recognize any changes in patient condition and take appropriate actions.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care. Provide clear instructions and answer questions to ensure a thorough understanding.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records (EHR). Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Medication Management: Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and treatments while adhering to safety protocols and ensuring proper dosage calculations.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests or code blues, by following established protocols.
- Admissions and Discharges: Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients. Ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Infection Control: Adhere to infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
