Job description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and financial management. You will analyze financial information, and maintain complete records while adhering to the strict standards of our organization. An Accounting Specialist’s responsibilities include keeping accurate records of all incoming and outgoing payments, handling payroll tasks as required, and assisting with preparing tax documents as needed. Ultimately, you will ensure that invoices get paid and clients make good on their promises by keeping accurate records of both uncollected debts from customers.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Using documents to verify, record, and process transactions Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and provide insights into potential financial risks and opportunities. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy Compute taxes and prepare tax returns. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments to the organization Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers Handle payroll functions as required by the organization Review financial information and documents quarterly and annual basis Handle general ledger bookkeeping where necessary Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities Manage client accounts and payment schedules Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA certification is highly desirable Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attributes: Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Strong organizational and time-management skills Proactive and results-drivenJob tags
