You will be working as part of Laravel team supporting the complex, growing operational requirements of an entire Laravel ecosystem. Your mission Together, we transform digital. Now, we’re looking for you – our new Laravel Technical Lead. We are looking for someone with advanced experience in Laravel who can plan, review and implement technical solutions to a high standard for a range of clients, that can collaborate and coach other developers and work with members of the delivery team to create plans, deliver projects with high quality and support with team management and growth with the other technical leads and CTO. What you'll be doing On a weekly basis you will: Client relationship management experience and amazing communication skills Collaborate with our project managers to oversee the technical delivery for a range of clients, from initial scoping, architecture and project delivery. Manage a team of developers. Run code reviews, pair with the development team, review deliverables and continually improve the process with the other Tech Leads. Coach and support the team. Help our CTO define and enforce quality engineering standards. Use forward-thinking DevOps technology and processes for deployments and automated testing. Support the QA team to improve process and embrace automation to find & fix bugs during the entire product lifecycle. Support Project managers with allocation of the team across our projects Support the new business teams in client acquisition and maintaining long lasting relationships with our clients Support the HR team with recruitment interviews and the CTO to grow teams sustainably Qualities we look for in candidates. The right Laravel Tech Lead will be both a technically minded but also have strong human to human and leadership/managerial skills. You will able to effectively devise and communicate ideas and solutions, both with our internal team and clients, where you'll demonstrate your passion for delivering great user experiences and robust Laravel applications. Understanding the business side You’ll need to link requirements with budgets and commercial constraints to deliver the best technical solutions. After signing-off a specific architecture, you will lead our team of technologist to deliver stable, scalable and secure applications. Required Skills and Experience: Have commercial experience delivering robust solutions as part of a multi disciplinary team Have experience with the Laravel framework and it’s ecosystem Have experience with modern front-end Utilize version control using Git and a systemized deployment process Ability to write and coach other developers to write automated tests Good knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles and design patterns Have basic experience of JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React or similar) Ability to support the creation of delivery plans, provide estimates and define users stories A hands-on approach to solving technical challenges Client relationship management experience and amazing communication skills Proven experience mentoring and managing a team of developers Good English writing and communication skills Passion for coding, design and web service development Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS and automatic deployment pipelines Desired skills and experience: Previous creative or Digital Agency experienceJob tags
