Purpose This role maximizes operational and financial value from IDEMIA's supplies, supporting business partner needs adequately Key MissionsWe are looking to hire Strategic Purchasing Sr. Manager – Technology Sourcing at Noida location.
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, this role will be executing sourcing plans for this global category with a third-party supplier spend of approx. $ 6m per annum.
Key activities include partnering with the Technology team to identify needs, understand the market to determine appropriate vendors to participate in RFPs to support business needs, and baselining the current state.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager for Technology is responsible for recommending/developing the sourcing strategy, leading the competitive process (i.e. RFP, RFI, Auctions, etc.), and assisting the team in the supplier selection, and negotiation. The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a business partner and will have also mission to support sales to bring value proposing new business model to sale digital through hyperscaler.
About the Role:
• Responsible for Technology Sourcing for all needs of the Engineering, Product, Business Services, and various other departments using technology vendors including Cloud, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Hosting, Data Storage & Back up, Machine Learning and AI Services, applications, etc.
• Responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies in full alignment and close collaboration with the Technology Services team.
• Develop close working relationships at all levels of the IT organization to stay aware of the strategic direction, and how third parties fit into that, to be able to find solutions that meet their needs.
• Understand and research the technology industry so you remain aware of best practices, leading suppliers, benchmark best practices, etc.
• Able to support sales to propose a way to bring value to IDEMIA offer
• Partner with technology organizations to manage onboarding, contracting, and negotiations with suppliers as efficiently and effectively as possible.
• Create approval decks and contract summaries for obtaining internal buy-in
Experience Required
• 10-12 + years of strategic sourcing and category management expertise in Technology Services (IT) in global Tech organizations.
• Direct experience negotiating agreements across Technology categories with partners like Google, AWS, Microsoft Azure etc.
• Ability to view all categories in a strategic context, and to implement those strategies.
• Excellent and proven communication and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.
• Passion for working in a fast-paced and innovative business environment.
• Experience in eSourcing and eAuctions techniques utilizing Coupa, or other similar procurement systems.
• Experience of dealing with Global Suppliers and Stakeholders.
• Procurement/Supply Chain certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP).
