The Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is a new initiative within Aon to deliver innovative consulting and technology solutions to its
clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing group and to work with a highly skilled, collaborative team of actuarial and
software experts who are using the latest technology to deliver next generation products for insurance markets.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
A QA Application Engineer is responsible for the development team handling testing-related tasks. Who will initially oversee or be
responsible to work along with the developers to create a test plan for newly added functionality
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Hands on experience with following Desktop Application testing types -
o Functional testing
o Automated testing
o System performance testing
o Usability testing
• Work with the product owner, actuaries, and development leads to determine the scope of automated testing.
• Create, maintain, and enforce Test plan including risk analysis & management for releases.
• Create a test strategy to make the product's testing process more efficient.
• Recommend best practices for testing to development teams.
• Creating an executive summary that details the testing gaps and coverage.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Strong experience with software testing methodologies.
• Experience in test automation framework development for desktop applications.
• Experience in hybrid methodology.
• Experience of requirements management tools e.g., Confluence and Jira.
• Microsoft Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
• C#, NUnit
• Desktop usability testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills. You see the problem, understand its significance, and get to the heart of the issue quickly and
thoroughly.
• You can work under pressure and are proactive, and adaptable.
