Manage the execution of technology focused projects of significant complexity from conception through delivery, including project definition, planning, budgeting, time estimation and scheduling, staff planning and resource leveling while ensuring high quality delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
Collaborate with cross-functional high performance project teams to define, estimate, and document project scopes of considerable complexity.
Facilitate meetings and conduct need analysis, resulting in comprehensive requirements definitions and functional specifications, incorporating insights from a diverse range of business and IT sources.
Develop and present compelling business cases, formulate project plans, identify resource requirements, establish team roles, and foster positive team dynamics.
Formulate robust project risk management plans, ensuring the timely delivery, testing, and commissioning of projects without disrupting business continuity.
Analyze the present state, develop alternative future state approaches, and guide implementation efforts.
Act as the primary contact for senior leadership, provide status reports, particularly in the context of critical change initiatives within a highly matrixed environment.
With limited guidance, create sound implementation plans aligned with the project strategy, staying within budget and timeline constraints.
Coordinate the activities of project teams across all phases of the project, serving as a central point of communication for team members and project sponsors.
Proactively oversee project delivery and approvals with minimal supervision, adeptly resolving action items, issues, and risks.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously across the company, identifying subtle issues that could escalate into major conflicts.
Facilitate training and onboarding plans for new hires and employees as needed.
Provide mentorship to junior PM(s) when necessary.
Execute any additional duties as assigned.
What were looking for:
10+ years of project management experience or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience working with project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, MS Planner, MS DevOps etc.)
Experience managing projects focused on software development and deployment.
Full project life cycle experience is mandatory with exposure to waterfall, agile and iterative delivery methods.
Proven track record of leading teams through the software development life cycle.
Demonstrated project leadership skills.
Bonus Points:
PMI certification or equivalent.
Experience working in a Scrum/Agile process.
Education:
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree is preferred.
