Happy Feet Home Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in August 2014. Our organization offers free-of-cost emotional, psychosocial, educational, vocational, and nutritional support to children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. We work with Lokmanya Tilak General Hospital (Sion Hospital) in Mumbai and provide various programs that enable children's mental, nutritional, medical, aspirational, and psychosocial well-being under palliative care. As of 2022, we have worked with over 1,357 children, young adults, and their families from low socioeconomic communities in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai regions in Maharashtra, India.

Role Description

1.    Conducting individual and group sessions for children in the day-care and shelter programs.

2.    Taking sessions for individual children in their home/community settings as a part of the home-care program.

3.    Visiting hospitals for group/individual sessions as and when required.

4.    Conducting group sessions for caregivers.

5.    Taking individual sessions for staff members of Happy Feet Home.

Qualifications

1. Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology
2. Knowledge of trauma informed therapy
3. Good counselling skills
4. Experience in working with children and families
5. Basic knowledge and understanding about palliative care
6. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
