Summary & Ideal Candidate's Profile:
The ideal candidate for the Head of Solution Architecture position possesses a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a highly respected institution (exceptional Bachelor's degree holders from premium institutes may be considered). They should have at least 15 years of leadership experience designing and managing complex cloud architectures, ideally with successful legacy-to-cloud migrations. Deep expertise in architecting distributed systems (microservices, APIs, containerization) and data platforms (RDBMS, big data, AI/ML) is essential, coupled with a security-first mindset. Proven success in leading technical teams of architects, data modelers and solution designers on large-scale transformation projects is imperative. BFSI domain experience is highly valued. The candidate should be well-versed in Agile methodologies and Secure DevOps. Beyond technical prowess, the candidate must be a strategic thinker with outstanding communication and mentorship skills and should possess superior problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges swiftly.
Responsibilities:
✓ Develop and execute the overall solution architecture strategy for the Large Transformation Project.
✓ Lead and manage a team of solution architects to design and build a scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud-based platform.
✓ Work closely with the Program Director and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
✓ Oversee the design and development of all cloud-based solutions, framework design for measuring platform performance, logging and observability framework, security framework, identity and IAM framework, caching & queuing framework, including microservices, APIs, RDBMS, big data platforms, and AI/ML solutions.
✓ Cloud Native design architecture based on distributive architecture, so that platform is cohesive, modular, extensible, reusable and scalable.
Ensure that all solutions are compliant with all applicable security and industry standards.
✓ Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the solution architecture team.
✓ Mentor and coach junior solution architects.
Qualifications:
✓ Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or electrical/ electronic engineering from a premier technical institute with relevant experience. Candidates with Bachelor's in CSE from Premium Institutes may also be considered.
✓ 15+ years of experience in designing and building scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions.
✓ Experience in leading a team of designers, developers, and architects.
✓ Experience in providing technical guidance and direction on projects from conception to execution.
✓ Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
✓ Cloud Native design based on distributive architecture, so that platform is cohesive, modular, extensible, reusable and scalable.
✓ Experience in Microservices, Application Programming Interfaces (API), RDBMS, integration of big data platforms, and advanced analytics using AI/ML.
✓ Adept at analysing performance metrics, code quality, system behaviour, designing efficient workflows, optimising development pipelines, and ensuring smooth CI/CD practices.
✓ Proficient in Full stack development tools, demonstrate knowledge of OOP design through Java/C#/Go or Python, with expertise in RPA, Jenkins, etc.,
✓ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
✓ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✓ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
✓ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
✓ Experience in leading and managing solution architecture for large, complex projects preferably in BFSI.
✓ Experience in working with Agile development methodologies.
✓ Experience in Secure DevOps practices.
✓ Experience in working with any/all cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
