Job Description
The Global Accounting IFRS- Manager:
Business Partner Role - Act as accounting & reporting business partner to the commercial and operational teams in the Americas
- Review business segment, functional and corporate specific complex transactions to ensure appropriate application of accounting principles and guidelines
- Strong ability to partner with stakeholders to assess and improve key end to end financial processes and associated internal controls
- In depth review of quality and content of business segment specific balance sheets and statements of income from IFRS accounting point of view
- IFRS Accounting Expert and Business Partner for Global Functions
- Act as global IFRS accounting expert on technical accounting advice as well as policy interpretation and application
- Ensure in depth review of quality of the balance sheet and P&L items relating to complex/judgmental accounting topics
- Focal point for discussions and alignment with external audit team on various technical accounting topics and disclosures in consolidated financial statements.
- Create/maintain and implement accounting and reporting policies and guidelines on accounting topics
- Ensure global accounting policy manual is updated and IFRS compliant on accounting topics
The Successful Applicant
The successful Global Accounting IFRS- Manager :
- Qualified CA with 6+years of experience.
- Must have strong IFRS accounting experience with a BIG 4 firm.
- Strong expertise in financial accounting (IFRS, accounting processes)
- Accounting professional with relevant work experience in accounting and reporting, and strong capability to analyze and improve complex processes
- Must be based in Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai (or ready to relocate immediately)
