Job Summary
This role will be responsible for implementing EHSS standards at STC B. Review of critical aspects of Environment, Health and Safety and Security at STC B. This will include, site specific regulatory EHSS compliance, compliance to ISO 14001 standards, development of EHSS programs & processes, interacting with APAC EHSS and GTC EHSS teams. To coordinate with regulatory agencies for licenses/consents, review of the due diligence reports of the toller sites carried out by third party.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Handle internal /external audit related to EHSS. Hazardous & Non-hazardous waste management and associated facilities compliance.
- Effective implementation of EHS management systems at site by doing daily site EHSS inspections and propose, facilitate Corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate and follow-up on actions from various functions and departments in EHS improvement activities, rectifications works and accident/incident investigations including trend analysis, Permit-To-Work systems.
- Implementation of Review of key safety systems and recommending corrective actions to improve Site safety culture
- Support effective identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks and the tracking and completion of risk reduction activities in a timely manner.
- To facilitate EHSS inspections of facility to observe unsafe conditions, unsafe work practices through participation of employees.
- Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) elements for Site operations & Toller operations. Familiar in PHA, HIRA, MOC, PSSR, HAZOP etc..
- Maintain EHS documentations required under the EHS management system e.g. accident/incident records, chemical inventories, licenses and permits, MSDS, etc. Safety Induction to new joining employees.
- Meet regulatory body including KSPCB Pollution to ensure the legal compliance being complied without any deviation.
- Ensure that systems and procedures within the department are in compliance with ISO14001
- To facilitate monthly safety committee meetings to discuss EHSS leading and lagging indicators for assessing the EHSS trends and implementing corrective actions to improve workplace EHSS standards.
- Identify and implement periodic EHS performance monitoring and measurements of the company’s EHS performance through proactive and reactive monitoring e.g. noise mapping, trade effluent, industrial hygiene and air emission monitoring.
- Resourceful to EHS teams in identifying training needs, developing, and implementing EHSS training programs.
- Deliver EHSS trainings at site
- Specialist in Permit to work system, conduct mock drill ,contribute in Crisis Management system & ERT Team & Contractor safety administration to ensure flawless implementation of safe system of work at site.
- Developing and implementation of site environment compliance program and tracking EHSS permit conditions compliance. Liasioning skills required.
- Hands on Experience in EHSS digitalization programs
What Matters to SABIC
- Graduate / Post Graduate in Chemical Engineering/ other relevant Engineering with Diploma in Health & Safety from Regional labour institute or NEBOSH or PG Diploma in fire and safety,
- Minimum 5+ years of petrochemical/refining /R&D experience in one or more of the following areas: Safety, Process safety Operations
- Good knowledge in Chemical safety is preferred. Specialist in PSM.
- Working experience with PSM, hazard identification, risk analyses and assessment methodologies (e.g. HAZOP Review, PHAs)
- Working knowledge of industry codes, standards and practices relevant to process design and safety (e.g. ASME, API,
