This role plays crucial part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
What will your job look like
- Recording financial transactions: Documenting all financial transactions accurately and timely in the general ledger system.
- Reconciling accounts: Ensuring that the balances in the general ledger accounts are reconciled with subsidiary ledgers and other financial records.
- Posting journal entries: Recording journal entries to reflect adjustments, accruals, and corrections to financial data.
- Preparing financial statements: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintaining financial records: Organizing and maintaining financial records and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Analyzing accounts: Conducting regular analysis of general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies, trends, and variances.
- Compliance with regulations: Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) in all financial reporting activities.
- Assisting with audits: Coordinating with auditors and providing support during internal and external audits.
- Participating in financial planning and budgeting: Collaborating with finance teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans based on accurate general ledger data.
- Process improvement and Automation: Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls within the general ledger function.
All you need is...
- CA with 2-3years ofexperience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team
- ERP experience (Oracle would be an advantage)
- CA or CPA membership
