Summary/Objective:

Turboexpander package Electrical drawings and documentation necessary for Nikkiso NEAT projects and implementation of the applicable control systems.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing and successfully operating the complete control system, PLC programming, and FAT testing. Coordinating with the project manager to ensure the control system documents and drawings are released within the project timeframe and per project specification requirements while maintaining high quality and accuracy. Documenting designs and specifications being updated on the latest instrumentation and control systems and providing innovative solutions as possible.

Principal Responsibilities

• Deliver the design drawings and documentation and the requirements of the projects including B.O.M. and detail components and related parts specifications.
• Preparing specifications for the purchasing components, like instruments, Motors and Generators, control panels, heater, UPS system, and other components.
• Review job-specific specifications and provide comments if applicable.
• Communicate with electric shop, vendors, and engineering group personnel.
• Have a strong understanding of product instrumentation and control design processes for turbo machine control systems and component selection based on job-specific requirements.
• Have a strong knowledge of design and CAD drafting practice.
• Interact confidently with the Engineering team, and application groups and provide accurate technical information.
• Review and maintain the latest revision documentation.
• Possible traveling to customer sites if requested by engineering.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop/ computer, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years experience working as an instrument and control engineer, especially in turbomachinery.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), UL and international standards (IEC, CE directives, ATEX, etc.), ISA standards, Hazardous codes, CSA electrical panel safety codes, and SIS, and how they apply to turboexpander control systems.
• Demonstrate excellence in interpersonal skills including communication, being a self-starter, having a positive make-happen attitude, being able to handle multiple tasks, and team player.
• Demonstrate the ability to self-correct and self-improve.
