Job description

Cost Calculation and Summary
 Prepare cost calculation and summary by checking the project requirement and scope of works and
estimating cost of labor and materials based on the tender documents, pricing, project specification to
complete the quotation requested by the client.
 Prepare works to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; and by setting priorities.
Cost Revision
 Revise cost calculation and summary by checking new market prices to ensure accuracy of quotation.
 Evaluate offers to purchase by doing cost changes, additions, and site requirements
Budgeting
 Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are
carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.
 Prepare construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting
costs for each elevation.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
 Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant
procedural/ legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
 Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
Continuous Improvement
 Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems,
processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
 Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors;
and negotiating price.
 Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
 Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating

actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
 Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional
publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
Reporting
 Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Zamil Offshore and departmental
requirements, policies and quality standards.
 Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information.
 Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
 Contribute to project team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 Help and coordinate with project team by analyzing, reporting, recording, documenting, costing & scheduling
all required works.
Health & Safety
 Maintain an awareness of all health and safety rules applying to the assigned tasks and tools to ensure that
safe working practices are observed.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education – College Graduate, Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

Minimum Experience:
 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as Estimation Engineer in oil and gas industry.

Skills Job-Specific Skills:

 Analytical and problem-solving skills
 Knowledge of cost estimating, calculation, standard and procedures
 Ability to perform complex estimating activities
 Knowledge of the industry
