We are looking for: Technical Writer
You'll make a difference by:
- : BE/B. Tech (Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Computer Science, Information Technology) MCA
- : 2-5 years of experience in the field of Technical Documentation
- Technical Writing expertise - knowledge of end-user documentation/product documentation/technical documentation/Video Documentation
- Proficiency in working with XML editor, authoring and other graphics related tools.
- Responsible for authoring tasks, creation, and integration of printed or electronic end user documentation, creating videos.
- Working knowledge of any Content Management System which is based on single sourcing concept.
- Planning and tracking status of project requirements, adhering to standard processes, and ensuring on-time delivery of deliverables.
- Understanding needs of the domain, end customers, and orienting operations towards meeting these needs
- Driving collaboration with stakeholders across all locations, conducting meetings, reporting status, ensuring partner satisfaction, and enabling best practice sharing
- Standardize content across platforms, media, and write supporting documents for products.
- Must be result focused, process and quality oriented.
You'll win us over by:
- Excellent technical writing, verbal, and written communication skills necessary
- Knowledge of Energy Automation products (Optional)
- Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.
- Awareness of Content Management System and video making tools
- Knowledge of Software Development process and familiarity with Lean/Agile development is preferable.
- Use diagrams, screenshots and charts that increase user's understanding.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to negotiate and moderate with stakeholders from different groups.
- Should be able to multi-task, managing multiple project activities and organizational responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to work as Individual Contributor and take ownership.
- Energy management domain experience is an added asset.
Overall Comments :
- Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.
- Usage of product specific terminology in manuals
- Domain know-how
- Work closely with technical staff to make products easier to use.
- Ensure quality of technical documentation and its delivery
- Use diagrams, screenshots and charts that increase user's understanding.
- Experience working with European partners, and flexible to work across partner time zones to suit work requirements.
- Standardize content across platforms and media.
- Knows state-of-art regarding authoring tools, documentation standards and rule.
