Hybrid Working

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:
Uses data and analytics to diagnose, develop and support the implementation of strategies to improve the overall effectiveness of the organisation, collaborating with HR (particularly HRBPs), business leaders and colleagues across all levels to identify and address areas for improvement. All aspects of organisational health are considered, covering organisation design, governance and ways of working, talent (skills and DEI), leadership and culture.
Projects will often involve being part of multi-disciplinary teams from across both People Analytics & Culture, the HR function and sometimes the wider business, to help fully scope and understand the business problem, before determining the best research and analysis approach to address the relevant business questions. Forming strong collaborative relationships with PA&C People Sciences, PA&C Account Management, HR Chief Data Office (CDO) and PA&C Data Products will be key to delivering successful insight consultancy projects with lasting impact.
The role requires strong relationship management and consultancy skills to first of all understand respective business problems, before then applying problem solving and analytical abilities to appropriately diagnose the issues at hand and offer up actionable insights that can be tracked over time. Storytelling will be a key skill to enable the role holder to be able to translate a variety of datasets into compelling narratives, that both influence and steer business decision making, to deliver great outcomes for Barclays.
What will you be doing
Org Effectiveness (OE) Consultancy Project Support & Delivery
Support the lead Senior Insight Consultant (Org Effectiveness) to parter with HRBPs and their business teams, to fulfil a number of key activities aligned to the successful delivery of an organisation effectiveness project
. Diagnose the business strategy and problem : work with the Senior Insight Consultant (Org Effectiveness) to clarify the organisation's mission, vision, and strategy and the subsequent identification of organisational health opportunities in alignment with these. Analyse and prioritise areas for improvement accordingly.
. Solution design : Drawing on a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources, develop and design organisation change initiatives aligned to the aspect(s) of organisational health that has been prioritised for improvement (e.g. organisation design, ways of working, culture, leadership, skills and DEI based workforce plans).
. Change intervention delivery : Help the Senior Insight Consultant (Org Effectiveness) to support HR and business leads with the implementation of prioritised change initiatives, through continual guidance, consultancy and advice where required.
. Benefits tracking & monitoring : Enable the business and HR to identify and track the right KPIs and overall effectiveness measures of the identified initiatives, through the provision of accurate self-serve data and analytics tooling.
What we're looking for:
o Problem Solving & analytical thinking - the ability to think expansively and creatively when researching and solving problems, and comfortable in using a range of analytical techniques.
o Organized and able to lead programmes and working groups -Methodical and structured in approach excellent project management and prioritisation skills, capable of working across multiple projects and to tight deadlines
o Relationship management & consultancy - excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing broad range of stakeholders, including those at senior levels within HR and the business, and be able to adapt style accordingly.
o Story-telling - ability to translate complex technical detail into simple, compelling narratives that lead the customer to tangible actions they can take to address business challenges.
o Commercial acumen - strong understanding of how corporate organisations operate, including a good level of commercial knowledge (business strategy, financials) to help inform how data informed recommendations can impact commercial outcomes.
o Data tools & platforms - experience of working with MI Direct Access Tools (e.g. dashboards) and data platforms, understanding of the benefits and solutions they provide.
o Microsoft Office - Advanced Excel and experience of producing executive level presentations in PowerPoint.
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Expertise in analysing data, understanding trends and developing recommendations.
. Minimum educational qualification - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
. Experienced in using the following HR technologies :
o OrgVue organisation modelling platform (or equivalent)
o Workday within an HR environment and its reporting modules.
o Experience of Qlik Sense.
o Experience of Sales Force or Service Now.
