Job Description :Position : ETL/Data EngineerLocation : Bangalore (Yehlanka)Experience Required :- 6 to 8 years of experience as an ETL/Data Engineer- Proficiency in either Informatica or Talend for data integration- Good understanding of Python programming and cloud-based technologies- Familiarity with Agile development processes- Strong grasp of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and SQL expertiseTechnical Expertise :- Demonstrated excellence in ETL processes, sourcing data from diverse origins, and loading into Data Warehouses and Data Marts. - Proficient with tools like Informatica Power Center and Power Connect on Oracle and SQL Server Databases- Proven skills in various stages of project implementation, including project scope analysis, requirement gathering, data modeling, ETL design, development, system testing, implementation, and ongoing support- Expertise in Dimensional Modeling, encompassing Star and Snowflake Schemas and adeptness in identifying Facts and Dimensions- Utilization of transformations such as Filter, Expression, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Stored Procedure, and Union for crafting resilient mappings within the Informatica Designer- Development of mapping parameters, variables, and mapplets for optimized mapping designs- Proficient in creating sessions, configuring workflows, and managing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes- Skilled in implementing Type 1 and Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) for accurate data updates- Agile adaptation to evolving business requirements by enhancing and modifying existing mappings- Thorough performance tuning experience at various levels, including source, target, mappings, sessions, and system, ensuring optimal ETL operations- Documentation and migration expertise for seamless transitions across repositories- Strong competence in crafting complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers using PL/SQL - Proficient in diagnosing and rectifying maintenance issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, along with Informatica/Talend session monitoring- Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting for automation of ETL processes, in addition to hands-on experience with scheduling tools like Control-M- In-depth involvement in all stages of SDLC, including business requirement analysis, data mapping, unit testing, systems integration, and user acceptance testing- Strong understanding of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) implementations, enabling effective design and development of ETL processes tailored to different data processing needs.Career Growth Opportunities :- This role presents an exciting opportunity for career advancement in the field of data engineering.
