Commissioning Engineer
- Leadership of the commissioning division for New commercial ships, MRO Ships & Rigs.
Accountable for the safe, effective, and efficient utilization of physical and human resources employed in all commissioning related project activities in accordance with the contract and Company Management System. Joining a new established company, the applicant will be initially focused on establishing the department's functional objectives, strategies, plans and procedures for new commercial ships, the building of jack-up rigs and/or Maintenance that repair & overhaul of rigs and ships. Especially the special knowledge is required as below.
- Knowledge for commissioning procedure for main engine, diesel generator and boiler etc.
- Knowledge for vessel systems like fresh water, sea water, fuel, and lubricant system etc.
- Knowledge for electrical diagram, equipment, panel, and systems etc.

- Machinery commissioning management : Monitoring productivity of all machinery installation activities in shipbuilding, rig construction and ensuring timely completion of works fulfilling quality and safety. Collaborating with other departments/zones to develop and implement new processes, systems, and procedures that continually increase efficiency and productivity.
- Monitoring whole piping system and electric system : Monitoring whole piping system and electric system before the outfitting work is completed. Make sure the whole system is operating properly with other engineers like electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Obtain ship owners' classification inspections of required systems : After checking the systems, request the inspection from ship owners and classification society and obtain the approval for system according to the drawings.
- HSE Management : Pursuing zero harm to employees by ensuring that all machinery installation activities are executed safely in compliance with HSE standards/procedures and TDS/MSDS of paint material.
- Resource Management : Taking primary responsibility for allocating and managing manpower and resources for commissioning, in accordance with the project schedule and budget. Monitoring actual asset costs/man-hours against budgeted costs/man-hours and take corrective action for overruns. Coordinating with other production departments/zones and the Asset Management group to avoid asset and resource duplication.
- HR Management : Assisting the Human Resource team with workforce-related issues such as site support, recruitment, transportation, disciplinary procedures, labor relations, site welfare facilities, and offsite accommodation. Contribute to the development of all employees.
- Relationship Management : Maintain close relationships with Planning, Project Management, Asset Management, and HR groups, as well as field/OSV Production groups, which are crucial to the Production Management group's success. Education
- Bachelor's Degree in shipbuilding, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, navigation or equivalent.
- Min. 3-6 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding
