Job description
Responsibilities
- Developing fire prevention programs and educating the public on fire safety issues such as proper use of electrical equipment, flammable materials, and fire hazards in the home
- Inspecting facilities to assess fire hazards, such as exits that are blocked or stairways that are cluttered
- Conducting fire drills to ensure employees know what to do in case of an emergency, and reviewing emergency response plans with staff members
- Inspecting alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and have been properly installed
- Supervising fire drills and other training programs to ensure that all personnel are familiar with their responsibilities in case of an emergency
- Investigating fires to determine the cause, origin point, and contributing factors
- Inspecting fire alarm systems and other fire suppression equipment to ensure it is working properly
- Coordinating with local fire departments to respond to emergencies such as structure fires and vehicle fires
- Training and certifying fire inspectors, firefighters, and other personnel on fire safety standards
Qualifications Fire safety officers needs to have diploma/ bachelor's degree in fire or industrial safety.
Experience range- 3 Years+ in the domain
Knowledge of MS Excel is must
