Key Responsibility

• The Storage Administrator is responsible for management of all centralized storage technologies.
• Install, configure as well as maintain storage hardware devices.
• Storage Engineer jobs include being responsible for applying patches, upgrading software, and making sure that data is secured
• Handle and support replication of DR data to make sure that data is recovered.
• Add and Remove Host groups in a storage system.
• Create and Remove LUNs and assign appropriate paths.
• Install and configure SAN Switch devices
• Create and assign zones for Server and SAN Switch connectivity.
• Engineers maintain the fiber channel switches and SAN arrangements by ensuring that software and firmware are in keeping with the latest needs of an organization.
• Provide the Storage related Technical support to clients.
• The Backup Administrator is responsible for providing backup solution for all client/Hosts.
• Install, configure Backup client agent in all Hosts.
• Add the Hosts in backup tool and initiate the Backup schedules.
• Generate the Different type of Backup Reports in HTML and mail format
• Restore all the backup data's from Tape library to department servers
• Managing Tape library with LTO-6 tape cartridge.
