IT Manager
(Based in Mumbai)
ORGANIZATION : As a key person in the Information Technology (IT) department, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of IT operations across the client’s global offices in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the European region. You will lead a team of 7 staff from the IT operations team. You will be in charge of ensuring efficient, effective, and high quality delivery of IT services to various stakeholders of the organization. Working closely with the management team for IT department based in Southeast Asia, you will drive process and technology improvements initiatives for the organization.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- IT service and operations management: With the support of the IT team, ensure any IT related incidents or escalations are managed in a timely manner.
- Vendor management: Manage commercial discussions and nurture partnerships with existing and new technology vendors which enable cost saving and optimum performance for the organization.
- Process improvement: Work closely with the team and manager to suggest ways to improve existing processes, best practices to improve cost-effectiveness, new technologies in cloud and infrastructure services and assets to improve organizational performance.
- Team management : Set processes for the team to efficiently manage internal and external customer needs. Develop team members and create a learning environment.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
- 10 to 12 years’ experience in managing IT operations.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in successfully managing and leading an IT operations team in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience in full lifecycle vendor management with good negotiation skills.
- Solid project management skills with experience in leading and delivering projects cost effectively.
- You have good experience and working knowledge in the following technologies :
- IT Asset management tools like Desktop Central or similar.
- Meraki/CISCO or similar firewalls/switches.
- Microsoft 365 administration specifically Teams, Sharepoint, and Exchange.
- You understand ITIL processes, security practices, and compliance frameworks.
