WHAT YOU'LL DO
Under the general supervision of local senior management and the Database Platform Engineering Manager in the Platform Engineering and Operations Team, you will be supporting a combination of project and operational activities in conjunction with our Managed Service Provider for Database operations. A portion of your focus will be on assisting the team in the management of our ServiceNow ticket queue, which is made up primarily of Service Requests. Our goal is to maintain reasonable ticket SLAs while meeting the Team's project commitments.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
You are good at managing and operating Oracle database instances optimizing configuration settings, performing database backups & restores, develop and run optimization tasks, compose automation scripts for repetitive tasks, etc. You have experience with the most recent releases of Oracle including knowledge of GoldenGate replication. You have excellent communication skills, work well in a team, and are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
You bring to us experience in managing Oracle databases, PL/SQL programming, knowledge of third form normalization design principals and indexing best practices. We would welcome experience in Microsoft SQL Server and/or other DBMSs to help support RtB. Ideal candidate will have administered Oracle systems on on-premises servers as well as cloud environments leveraging automation and infrastructure-as-code techniques.
- Solid Oracle DBA experience (11g-19c)
- Experience in managing and operating GoldenGate replication tasks
- Strong database design skills
- Expertise in SQL & PL/SQL Statement Tuning
- Strong Linux Administration capabilities
- Oracle Applications (EBS) DBA experiences a plus
- Powershell and/ or Python scripting capabilities
- Familiarity with Cloud automation deployment (e.g. Terraform for Oracle RDS) a plus
- Familiarity with SQL Server 2016-2019 a plus
- Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL a plus

You will collaborate with development teams and vendors to design, develop, implement, and operate database infrastructure in order to provide reliable and scalable database platforms that meet the service level agreements (SLA) of its customers.
