Job description
Overview:
The CTRM Developer plays a crucial role in the organization responsible for developing implementing and maintaining the Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) system. This role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless functioning of the CTRM system supporting trading operations and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing developing and implementing CTRM system enhancements and customizations
- Collaborating with traders risk managers and operations teams to understand requirements
- Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle including testing and deployment
- Ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the CTRM system
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting issues related to CTRM system functionality
- Monitoring and finetuning system performance for optimal efficiency
- Adhering to Agile methodologies for project management and delivery
- Integrating the CTRM system with other ETRM and ETL systems
- Documenting technical specifications and system processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 3 years of experience in CTRM system development and support
- Proficiency in SQL stored procedures and database architecture
- Strong understanding of commodity trading and risk management principles
- Experience with Agile development practices and tools
- Familiarity with ETRM and ETL systems and their integration with CTRM
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams
- Knowledge of energy or commodity markets is a plus
- Certifications in relevant software development technologies is a bonus
