Creating the QA organization and socializing within IT organization.
Defines test strategy, tools, processes and timelines for quality assurance of new and existing products and features.
Works closely and collaboratively with enterprise architect, infrastructure and application teams to establish the process for clear and efficient operations and communications related to overall QA process.
Keeps up-to-date with and implements industry best practices
Works with the project/product team to define and implement best practice QA processes, practices and toolsets.
Implementing and promoting QA standards across all IT functions
Identifying and selecting the automation test cases by working closely with business analyst/BRM/product owner.
Applying various designs and documenting the automation test strategy
Develop the script and flow to get test case automated by utilizing selected test automation framework.
Clearly communicates QA results, concerns, and project status to management and stakeholders in a timely manner
Collating and monitoring the defect management process
Providing necessary trainings to all IT functions
Proven experience in establishing the QA organization, defining the team vision and structure and socializing the QA organization.
Proven working experience in test management, test delivery or equivalent role with at least 10 years relevant experience in large and complex system.
Extensive experience developing and executing test scripts and test cases at the required level of detail for each project/feature request
Experience with industry-specific QA techniques and methodologies preferred
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and lead a team of testers
Have experience with Agile, Scrum and/or Lean principles and practices.
Solid project management skills, including ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule, and communicate with all levels of staff
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Great interpersonal and communication skills
A self-starter mindset coupled with excellent leadership and team management skills
