Overview:
The Shopify Developer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the organizations ecommerce platform. They are responsible for creating engaging and userfriendly online stores that align with the companys brand and strategic objectives. This role is essential in driving online sales and providing customers with a seamless shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and customizing Shopify themes and templates
- Integrating and configuring Shopify apps and thirdparty systems
- Collaborating with designers and other developers to create visually appealing and functional ecommerce websites
- Optimizing the performance and user experience of Shopify stores
- Debugging and troubleshooting issues related to Shopify websites
- Implementing SEO best practices and ensuring website accessibility
- Managing product catalogs payment gateways and shipping options
- Staying updated on the latest Shopify features and industry trends
- Testing and deploying website updates and enhancements
- Assisting in the technical support and maintenance of Shopify platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in developing and customizing Shopify ecommerce websites
- Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and other web development technologies
- Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile optimization
- Experience with Shopify Liquid programming language
- Knowledge of web analytics and A/B testing
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Understanding of ecommerce best practices and customer behavior
- Good communication and project management skills
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Certifications in Shopify development are a plus
