Position Summary...
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

The Unemployment Claims Team in People Services play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and legitimate validation of unemployment claims raised by the Walmart Associate. The team's primary responsibility is to verify the employment status of individuals who are claiming unemployment benefits. This involves cross- checking the information provided by claimants with the company's records to confirm whether the claimant is indeed unemployed and eligible for benefits

2.1 million associates across Walmart. This Bangalore based team collaborates and works together with our colleagues based out of Charlotte (North Carolina) and Bentonville (Arkansas) creating benchmarks around customer service delivery and a superior associate experience. Our speed, accuracy, on-time delivery of associate centric solutioning enables us to create the right mix of performance and agility in our daily operations. Ready to jump in and be a part of this team The Unemployment Claims Team in People Services play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and legitimate validation of unemployment claims raised by the Walmart Associate. The team's primary responsibility is to verify the employment status of individuals who are claiming unemployment benefits. This involves cross- checking the information provided by claimants with the company's records to confirm whether the claimant is indeed unemployed and eligible for benefits. The team also oversees the processing of unemployment claims, ensuring they are processed swiftly and accurately, minimizing any delay in benefits payment. They liaise with the state's unemployment department, providing necessary documentation and information to support claims. The Unemployment Verification Operations Team also provides updates and reports to the higher management of the organization, keeping them informed about the status of unemployment claims, potential issues, and any identified fraudulent activities. In all their tasks, the team must comply with all federal and state laws related to unemployment benefits, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the organization's adherence to legal and ethical standards What you'll do : We are currently seeking an Experienced Manager People Services Generalist to join our team in the Unemployment Services division. This role is pivotal in coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of a team of 15 professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. The work schedule will align with US working hours (Night Shift) Key Responsibilities: - Direct supervision and management of a team of 15 professionals within the Unemployment Services division.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Lead and develop the team throug h effective communication, performance management, training, and coaching.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity and service delivery. Collaborate with other managers and teams to ensure consistency of services and processes across the organization.
- Resolve complex issues related to unemployment services. Regularly review and analyze team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state unemployment regulations and company policies.
- Maintain current knowledge of unemployment laws, regulations, and industry trends throug h the available SOP's Manage and allocate resources effectively, inc luding budgeting and forecasting.

- Knowledge of unemployment laws and regulations.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
What you'll bring: - A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management role (people manager) in the human resource operations or unemployment operations sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and unemployment services systems. Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-d riven environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team of at least 10+ associates. Total of 7+ years of overall experience.
