Job description
Ø Oversee and direct the activities related to pre-admission, registration and financial counseling in order to establish and protect the hospital's reimbursement position.
Ø Monitor staffing, resolve issues and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Supervise activities of staff to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality information.
Ø Taking care of All types of IP - Admissions
Ø Develop and maintain an effective relationship between Patient Business Services and physicians and internal customers.
Ø Develop, recommend, and implement changes in department policies and procedures as appropriate to enhance the delivery of services.
Ø Coordinate the collection and analysis of data related to patient flow; identify and implement adjustments to established processes to enhance the delivery of services.
Ø Work closely and professionally with nursing and ancillary departments in an effort to maintain a teamwork approach
Ø Review daily pre-service log to ensure accounts have been activated
Ø Excel in all functions performed by patient representatives
Ø Update collection system and requests rebill when appropriate
Ø Collect/request deposits and co - pays
