Job DescriptionPurpose/Key Objectives of the JobWork closely with Supervisor, Business, RAC/Satellite Manager, Consolidation and External reporting departmentEnsure that accounting activities are in compliance with accounting law and regulations (GAAP/IFRS). Guide business if neededGuarantee that global financial policies are being applied. Communicate with relevant stakeholdersSupports in implementing improvements and global guidelinesResponsibilitiesResponsible for the execution of reliable, timely and complete specialist accounting tasks and activities as recorded in the Global Process Design and Standard Operating Procedures*)Provide quality assurance on Balance Sheet (BS), Profit & Loss (P&L) andspecifications for all Nouryon Group provisions (Pension, Environmental, Rationalization, Decommissioning and Other Sundry)Review BS and P& L figures and variances on a monthly basisCreate adjust specification (A-Forms)Prepare and perform monthly analysis to present to External reporting departmentMaintain, monitor and update the Environmental provision database (in excel)Maintain, monitor and update the Management Equity Plan database (in excel)Calculate and post quarterly adjustments to the Pension provisions and Management Equity planSupport the pension/environmental accounting specialist with the annual pension valuation processSupport the pension/environmental accounting specialist with the annual environmental review process.Actively provide the group auditor (PWC) with required informationSupport local RAC’s and reporting department with quarterly holiday accrualAnalyze salaries and wages on a monthly basis (group wide)Responsible that all the month end closing deadlines are metJob Requirements Skills and Competences:Strong analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong ‘hands-on’ mentalityResults-oriented with a focus on service deliveryAble to work with deadlines and pressure, e.G., during month closingIs a team playerEducation and Experience (Functional Technical Capabilities):High education in Accounting (Bachelor)3-5 years of experience in operational accountingGood knowledge of accounting in ERP systems, preferably SAPExperienced in using Microsoft Office (especially excel)Local language and English (fluent)About Nouryon We are a global specialty chemicals leader.
