Location – PAN India – Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune/Kolkata/Gurgaon/Noida/Coimbatore

Position
Transition Manager Role (Specific tasks and the role that the person will undertake)
- Design and deliver end to end Transition plan to meet/align customer requirements.
- Participate in presales and customer visits to represent Transition and Transformation function and ensure framework is adopted.
- Responsible for Multitower / Multi Geo engagement transition
- Responsible for seamless execution of various phases of Transition.
- Single point of ownership for overall program management involving SMEs / Project / Program Managers and other enabling functions/partners involved in transition.
- Manage and Track Project Milestones and Project expenses
- Prepare the Project Plan
- Follow Cognizant Project Management and Governance model and Processes
- Work closely with Project Stake holders/delivery team/Partners as applicable.
- Maintain good Business relationship with Project stake holders.
- Provide project updates and reporting to stake holders.
- Coordinate with Technical and Management teams
- Project Budget tracking and forecasting as applicable
- Proactive identification of project/program risks and drawing mitigation plan
- Smooth Handover to operations teams.
Experience (Relevant experience the person must have)
- 12+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure area with at least 3+ years' experience in Transition and Project Management
- Should have managed multitower / multi geo complex transitions
- Ability to manage ambiguity / uncertainnity
- Strong Project Management knowledge
- Experience in using Project Management methodologies and processes is a must
- Good command on spoken and written English.
- To work under minimal supervision and should be self driven
- Familiar with working in a project environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting
- Ability to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT services.
- Proven ability to consult, support, and inspire colleagues.
Essential Desirable Job-related Skills (Technical and professional skills that the person must have to be effective)
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Deep working knowledge on PMP / Prince 2 methodologies
- Good understanding of ITIL V3 framework
- Adequate Infrastructure Technology Knowledge
- Consulting and working experience on preparation Business cases and SOW.
- Good working knowledge on Microsoft Project, Power point and Visio
- Willing to travel (60-70% Travel)
- Sixsigma Green Belt Certification
- MCSE or similar certification in any technology
Management/Personal Skills (Non-technical and managerial skills that the person needs to have)
- Excellent Presentation skills
- Ability to work with, manage and negotiate with Clients, Business Partners , Vendors, and Third Party Support Providers
- Excellent Written and Spoken communication skills and interpersonal skills
Educational Qualification (Basic educational background that the candidate should possess)
- BE, B.Tech. or Equivalent in any discipline of Engineering with an MBA preferred.
Tests, Certification (Specific tests that must be applied to candidates; prior certification that they may need)
Any of the vendor specific Certifications
- Certified in ITIL, PMP/Prince 2 and Green Belt
- Technical Certifications related to IT Infrastructure Technologies
