Overview
THE ROLE:
The Assistant Manager - Direct Sourcing, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on the role of Facility Expansion and Capacity Evaluation Specialist. In this position, He /She will be responsible for assessing our current facilities, evaluating existing capacity, identify the new contract manufacturer and developing plans for future expansion to meet the growing needs of our organization.
How You Would Contribute - Conduct thorough assessments of existing CM facilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in terms of capacity and cost saving initiatives.
- Analyze current operational workflows, space utilization, and resource allocation within the facilities.
- Work closely with Contract Manufacturing team and internal stakeholders for new projects implementation/expansion plan.
- Conduct Monthly Business Review meeting with Contract manufacturing.
- On ground validation of open book costing and cost analysis.
- Developing and Managing Supplier relationships with Contract manufacturing
- Negotiate contracts with Contract manufacturing.
- Involved in New Product Development (NPD) and will manage the NPD phases in Product lifecycle management software.
- Identify and assess potential contract manufacturing partners for finish goods production.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and quality production of finished goods with 2P.
- Conduct meetings with cross functional team to review the progress of approvals.
- Perform Due Diligence of new proposed supplier.
- This role will manage the Supplier Evaluation and Rating. He/She will be generating the Supplier scorecard for the supplier selection.
- Supplier due diligence for supplier onboarding.
- Contract manufacturing Commercial Efficiency program
- QBRs and periodic inputs for CM leads

Skills SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Min 4-6 years' experience in a Contract Manufacturing/supply chain/Project/CM sourcing role in a GMP/FSSAI environment
- Strong knowledge of healthcare formulations (Powder, Tablet, Capsule, Sachet and soft gel) and machineries
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven experience in Contract manufacturing, capacity planning, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of relevant topics within QA, QC, Manufacturing, and Supply as required to efficiently lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in facility management.
Experience - 5-8 years in Contract Manufacturing/supply chain/Project/CM sourcing role/FG Procurement, or related.
- Project management experiences are a plus.
Education - Candidate should have bachelor's degree in food technology/B. Pharm, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus
