Job description
Our ideal candidate will be a vital cog in the Home Plans category , with strong communication, ownership, high levels of integrity, growth mindset and an obsession to drive results. As the General Manager, for the Home Plans Category, you will be providing / generating the main Architectural & Building Design content for the Home Plans Catalogue both inhouse and crowdsourced for upload onto the website. In addition to evaluating current Home Plans catalogue health, the General Manager - Home Plans Design should have a keen understanding of latest trends and success in this position will be determined by having the creativity and advanced knowledge necessary to produce designs (stock & custom) that are sustainable, functional, aesthetic, relevant and trendy while taking into account both the Home Plans Category needs & client needs and collaborate with other departments to create the perfect consumer experience symphony.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Content Development & Management - Create designs for new construction projects, alterations and redevelopments.
- Coordinate / Prepare drawings, blueprints, specifications and all construction documents by using specialist computer-aided design applications for the Home Plans Category.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local planning regulations.
- Prepare guidelines and checklists for content specifying quality, file etc for upload onto the website.
- Curate and stage Architectural Home Plan Content (UI / UX) that is aesthetic, relevant, trendy and functionally easy to use on the website according to SKU type and revenue model.
- Understand the vision of the Home Plans Category, curate and deliver innovative, aesthetic and functional designs within deadlines by effectively recruiting, coordinating and managing relationships with other business participants (Architects / Contractors etc).
- Assist in error free and timely delivery of the UI / UX stages of development by periodically testing and evaluating based on the approved work flows and goals of the category.
Consumer Experience (CX)- Create the vision for the CX function under the Concierge Services Vertical.
- Create, Manage and Execute the Home Plan Category's CX strategy to provide consumers seamless experiences across touchpoints.
- Engage with consumers who have opted in for Concierge Services (Bespoke) , taking the brief and determining their needs and requirements.
- Build strong relationships with consumers and ensure every touchpoint with the consumer is efficient, engaging and effective. Put together design proposals and make adaptations / corrections when needed.
- Orchestrate immersive experiences for consumers by working collaboratively with other departments tying that up to overall business growth
- Deliver world class customer experiences and delight every customer by leading the end user experience
- Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, aesthetic and functional design.
Others - Design & groom spaces that are owned by the parent group as and when required keeping budgets in check always.
- Monitor consumer data and prepare reports on category performance.
SKILL SETS - Degree in Architecture with 8 - 10 yrs proven experience with a strong portfolio preferred.
- Customer interface mandatory.
- Knowledge of MS Office and software programs like AUTOCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup.
- Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency in computer aided design.
- Strong creative and visualization skills.
- A keen eye for detail as well as the ability to see the bigger picture of the project.
- An analytical mind with excellent problem solving and mathematical ability.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
