Job description
In this role, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain CT/AMI (Computed Tomography/Advanced Molecular Imaging) products and solutions. This opening is for India Product Engineering group of CT/AMI at HIC Pune.
You are responsible for,
Mechanical design and design changes of a module/subsystem/system.
Requirements, Design, implementation, test and integration of Unit in accordance with the higher level Requirement and - Design specifications/architectures.
Technical contact towards design houses and/or suppliers.
Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate modules in modular, easy-to-maintain units that meets the product specification.
Understands and communicates consequences of his/her design on the architecture.
Determines the Unit interfaces (HW/SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines.
Ensures the quality of design and documentation.
Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of the literature, technical contacts, and propagates it.
Defines, executes and takes the lead in concept and feasibility studies with a limited scope to investigate the usability of new technologies.
Contributes to technology roadmaps and other strategic related activities.
Takes technological or process related improvements initiatives.
Planning of own activities and proactively providing updates to team and management.
Reliability and Serviceability of the system/subsystem/component
Impact assessment, complaint Investigations and resolution
Performing safety analysis according to applicable medical device standards
Complying to all applicable medical standards/regulations such as CE and FDA, k nowledge of IEC-60601 standards & risk management is preferred. .

CT/AMI India Product Engineering group is responsible for CT/AMI products life cycle management.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience,
Master/Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
6 to 10 years of experience in designing & developing medical devices/products.
Solid experience in design/development of complex technological products/systems/subsystems in mechanical area.
Good at hand calculations, structural analysis and understanding of finite element methods.
Experience in CT/Nuclear Medicine product development is preferred.
Experience in selection of standard components from supplier catalogue to match design requirements.
Hands on experience in CAD modelling and drawing preparation using any CAD tools (Creo, solid-works etc.)
Skilled in creating/reading/interpreting engineering drawings with proficiency in GD&T, Tolerance Stack up, etc.
Awareness of engineering materials and material standards (ASME, DIN) used in industry.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for sheet metal, fabricated parts, plastics, casting etc.
Awareness of DFM, DFA, DFMEA, FEA methodologies used in product Design.
Fast learner and interest to learn new technologies/business/systems.
System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area.
Exposure to Windchill PDM/PLM for managing lifecycle of the products/components.
Excellent communication skills, global mindset.
