Our data-driven quantitative strategists play a pivotal role in shaping our clients' success by leveraging advanced data science techniques to address real-world challenges in financial markets. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to develop quantitative models and innovative solutions. Your role will be instrumental in driving investment strategies, particularly focusing on equity pricing, securities valuation, and a comprehensive understanding of interest rates, yield curves, bonds, equities, and capital markets dynamics.

Responsibilities

As a strategist specializing in data science within the asset management practice, you will collaborate closely with portfolio managers and stakeholders, employing cutting-edge data analytics techniques to:

  • Create sophisticated quantitative models and tools, leveraging data science methodologies to optimize portfolio management and trading strategies, with a specific focus on equity pricing and securities valuation.
  • Work in tandem with clients' portfolio managers to design, refine, and implement data-driven strategies tailored to meet clients' investment objectives.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain risk management tools and portfolio analysis systems across various asset classes, providing critical insights to senior management and portfolio teams.
  • Spearhead the development and maintenance of a robust analytical infrastructure for strategists, ensuring seamless integration and utilization of data science methodologies.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or data science-related field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, quantitative finance, or a related discipline.
  • Solid experience (1-3 years) in roles involving quantitative financial modeling, software development, and data science applications within financial markets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and demonstrable mathematical skills are imperative.
  • In-depth knowledge and keen interest in financial markets, encompassing interest rates, yield curves, bonds, equities, and broader capital market instruments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and an analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven track record of effective collaboration in team environments.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team setting.
