Job description
Role - Plant Head We are actively seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join Semco Infratech Private Limited as our new Plant Head.
Responsibilities Supervision and Management of Production: · Oversee all aspects of production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules. · Implement strategies to optimize production output while minimizing costs and maintaining product quality standards. · Lead and motivate production teams to achieve production targets and quality objectives. · Compliance of the Plant: · Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations. · Implement and maintain policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and company standards. · Coordinate with regulatory agencies and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance. Expense Management of the Plant: · Develop and manage budgets for the plant operations, including production costs, overhead expenses, and capital expenditures. · Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or safety. · Monitor financial performance and analyze variances to make necessary adjustments and achieve cost targets. Purchase Management: · Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services. · Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. · Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Plant Maintenance · Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and uptime of plant equipment and machinery. · Coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs, upgrades, and installations, to minimize downtime and disruptions to production. · Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Manpower Management of the Plant: · Recruit, train, and develop a skilled workforce to meet production goals and operational requirements. · Establish performance standards, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching to employees. · Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among plant personnel. Discipline Management of the Plant: · Enforce company policies and procedures regarding employee conduct, safety, and attendance. · Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, following established disciplinary procedures and applicable labor laws. · Promote a positive work environment where employees feel respected, valued, and motivated to perform at their best. Logistics and Other Tasks: · Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. · Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and quality assurance, to address customer needs and resolve issues. · Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the growth and profitability of the plant and the company. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred . ·10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with [X] years in a supervisory or managerial role. · Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements. · Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, drive performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.Job tags
