Job description
Job Role: Workshop Manager
Responsibilities - Responsible for coordinating with drivers to understand repairs needed on trucks.
- Preparing repair job sheets and monitoring repairs
- Performing and documenting inspections of tyres, completing schedule maintenance, inspecting truck documents, body and paint repairs etc.
- Arranging parts for conducting repairs, keeping inventory of parts and bills
- Following up with mechanics, electricians etc for completing repairs on time
- Managing en route breakdowns with local mechanics and workshops
- Coordinating with workshop managers, area CSM for scheduling workshop visits and confirming availability of parts, vehicle reporting, timely completion of repairs, payments
- Inspecting tyres for claim, dealing with tyre OEM for claim settlement
- Sale of metal and tyre scrap
- Ensuring fleet uptime at company standards
- Preparing monthly MIS reports on formats provided, meeting with OEMs to improve uptime of fleet.
Experience Atleast 5 years experience in heavy commercial vehicles repair at TATA / Eicher Workshop or a large fleet owning company.
Expected to be well versed with all major parts of trucks including - engine, clutch, gear, crown, electrical. Skills - Strong Communication skills
- Comfortable with MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Should be fluent in Hindi and English (Read and write)

- Repair managers at other large fleet owning transport companies - Varuna, Kapoor Diesel, Express Roadways, Delhi Assam (DARCL), Ritco, Okara Roadways, VRC Logistics, ABC Express, Singhal Transport Corporation, Caravan Roadways etc
