Job Description Summary: Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create basic test cases based on the test plan(s).
- Observes and records defects in software products through the use of systematic tests to apply and
- maintain quality standards for company products.
- Maintains documentation of test results.
- Updates and creates test cases to support correction of customer reported issues.
- Ongoing/self-directed study of corporate QA standards
- Ability to work and communicate within a team environment
Qualifications: - 2+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IS, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Previous experience working on software quality
