II. POSITION SUMMARY

To deliver safe, fit for purpose, electrical design to an agreed schedule to meet a pre agreed budget.

The candidate should possess diploma in electrical engineering with relevantwork experience in electrical design activities for oil and gas projects.

III. NATURE AND SCOPE

Electrical Designer is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for the electrical design. Based on the execution strategy the electrical designer will be responsible for performing electrical design for assigned projects.

IV. DIMENSIONS:

• An electrical designer supports the Lead Engineer/lead Designer on the project and provide necessary support for technical interface with AP project execution teams. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose, electrical design to an agreed schedule and construction budget.
• Responsible for producing all electrical design documents for assigned project.
• Providing support to other AP engineering centers as per requirement.

V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Generate all electrical design deliverables like SLDs, Layouts (Substation/PDC Equipment arrangement, Cable Tray/Trench/Duct bank, Power, Lighting, Earthing, Hazardous Area classification, Heat Tracing, FA/PA/Telephone) extracting MTOs, and modelling of Electrical facilities.
• Prepare Control Schematics, Interconnection diagrams, Wiring diagrams and provide the support to prepare cable schedules.
• Experience of carrying out Lighting calculation with AP available software.
• Prepare Electrical Panel Fabrication Drawings.
• Prepare As Built Drawings.

V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Experience of working with tools like Micro station/AutoCAD and SP3D/PDS/PDMS.
• Design experience in relevant industries like oil and Gas.
