Your Focus


As Logistics Specialist, you will commit adherence to food & distribution safety, health & environmental regulations, and ethics compliance. As logistics point of contact in country you will provide updates to stakeholders – Sales, Planning and Customer Service on inbound and outbound status of goods and hold accountability for 3PL warehouse operations.

The role is Mumbai based and will report to Senior Logistics Manager.

How you will contribute:


•    Collaborate with Planning to obtain first ETA, follow up ETD with source logistics/forwarder. 
•    Track and Trace Urgent Import Shipments to provide visibility to Sales, Planning and Customer Service.
•    Communicate reasons for ETA delays and follow up for updates with carrier/forwarder/global logistics to keep stakeholders informed on shipment arrival status.
•    Connect with Regulatory, Technical and Trade Compliance to address any customs query and provide end use declarations where required to authorities. 
•    Follow up with warehouse to expedite urgent outbound orders and keep sales informed.
•    Update urgent customer order status to sales account managers and customer service.
•    Register Source Logistics Complaints in SFDC tool and follow up for investigation, root cause analysis.
•    Report Logistics Complaints trend to logistics manager to identify areas of improvement and follow through mitigation steps with partner organizations – Warehouse and Transporters and source location depending on nature of complaint.
•    Active Contribution in Logistics Related Projects like EDI with Warehouse, Track and Trace, Logistics Cost Saving Initiatives, Warehouse Foot Print Optimization, Shipment Consolidations etc.
•    Engagement in stock count and participate in 3PL audits.
•    Execute multiple business scenarios – Bond Filing, High Sea Sales and Duty Paid Imports.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful


•    Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, MBA or any other relevant discipline.
•    Atleast 5-7 years of relevant functional experience in End-to-End Logistics processes.
•    Good understanding of Logistics Processes – Warehousing Operations and Import-Export Customs Clearance operating procedures.
•    Basic Understanding of International Trade regards logistics operations.
•    Proven expertise with SAP is a must.
•    Experience working in Salesforce will be an added advantage.
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word & Power Point.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Proactive, self-motivation, ability to engage across all execution levels and manage stakeholders expectations. 
•    Problem Solver attitude to solve business situations.
•    Ability to work under pressure and demanding situations.
•    Ability to work effectively with cross functional team members.
