Job Title: Regional Director, South Asia –Sales & Technical (India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka)
Location:India (any major industrial city); also supports Bangladesh, Sri Lanka

About the Role: Reporting to the EMEAI Sales Manager;, the primary responsibility will be to act as a technical and sales expert in the Indian market.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an industry expert in weathering and corrosion; speak at conferences, seminars, webinars, etc.; provide technical training to our local distributors and customers; participate in related India standards activities (ISO, BIS, ASTM, etc.)
- Provide sales management support to our local distributors, helping them to organize strategic and detailed sales plans, pursue and close sales opportunities; accompany distributors on sales visits as required and act as a Q-Lab technical expert
- Become an adept and competent troubleshooter for special, challenging repair cases of our weathering and corrosion testers, supporting our local distributor repair technicians and becoming the remote eyes/ears for our home office repair/engineering team
- Assist our Senior Management team in developing and implementing strategic plans involving India, from a sales, supply chain, and future business development standpoint
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 5-10+ years’ experience working with complex electro-mechanical equipment
- Complete understanding of Indian business, culture, industries/companies, and geographic business regions
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel ~50%, mostly within India, but internationally on occasion
Desired Skills:
- Sales management experience, preferably working with Distributors
- Multi-lingual, preferably Asian language skills (e.g. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.)
- Startup business experience, including supply chain development
